"A  thoroughbred who possesses the enviable gift to turn almost anything he plays into pure gold".

Trio Apaches

Mash Productions

Trio Apaches was officially formed by Matthew Trusler, Thomas Carroll and Ashley Wass at the 2012 Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival.

The Trio is named after an innovative and often controversial group of Parisian-based artists which formed around 1900.  Its members included the composers Ravel, Stravinsky and Manuel de Falla, as well as painters, poets and music critics of the day.

Founded by Ashley Wass and Matthew Trusler, Mash Productions is a production company that exists to bring ambitious and innovative projects to life.  Able to draw on long and varied careers within the music industry, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to realise diverse and exciting ideas.

We work closely with collaborators throughout the creative development process, helping to identify target audiences and channels of distribution, and to achieve artistic and financial objectives.

After ten years as Professor of Piano at the Royal College of Music in London, Ashley is joining the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester as their new Deputy Head of Keyboard, commencing in September 2018.

He will work alongside the existing Head of Department, Graham Scott, in the day-to-day running of the school of keyboard studies, helping to develop the curriculum while continuing with his teaching commitments.
